The Rockford Fire Department located at 6700 Main Street will hold a CPR class on January 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Families and individuals are invited to attend this class who are older than 10. The CPR training class is 1.5 hours at a cost of $30 per kit which may be taken home and used for practice. The Rockford Volunteer Fire Department is past the Rockford City Hall and the Park to your left at 6700 Main Street.

Rockford Library Celebrates 20 Years
balloon sculptures will be from 3:30-6:30, family story time “Compliments to the Cook!” 6:30-7:15, beverages, snacks and activities all day. Patrons and visitors will see photos from the early days, read the history, and share their memories. Crafts, a chance to create your own story time with big books, pop-up books and puppets, and patron nominations and votes for best reads and must see movies to add to the Rockford permanent collection will be also be offered. Wellness On Wheels
The Wellness On Wheels will be in Rockford October 29th at Casey’s from 2-6 p.m. The Wellness Van services include: adult and child immunization, health screenings, cholesterol testing and more. For more information feel free to call 763-682-7717.
Rockford School “Vote Yes 4-All” Needs Volunteers
The District 883 Rockford area schools vote yes members are seeking volunteers for the phone bank. If you are interested volunteers are needed for this Sunday, October 25th at
Bankwest in Rockford from 5:15 – 8:45 p.m.

River Works Golf Benefit
Saturday, September 26th, 2009 the River Works 1st annual golf benefit will be held at Baker National Golf Course. River Works brings hope and a better quality of life to people who lack economic and social resources in our community.
Please bring a non-perishable / canned food item to help start the food shelf. Registration & lunch is at 11:30 a.m. & the Driving Range and Putting Green will be open (not as though “you” need the practice though:-)) The fees are $115 per golfer or $400 for a foursome. The fee includes 18 holes of Golf, cart & a bucket of range balls. You will also enjoy a box lunch and a 3 course dinner with a brief program and auctions.
If you can not come for the day feel free to come at 6:00 for appetizers and dinner along with the auction for $20.00.

Annie Get your Gun At Rockford High School
The 4 Community Theater group is presenting ‘Annie Get Your Gun” with performances at the Rockford High School July 30th – August 1st. The talent is made up of 50 local residents who will be singing, dancing and acting out the classic love story of Annie Oakley & Frank Butler. Tickets are sold at the door at a cost of $13 for adults and $9 for seniors and students.

This year Rockford will be doing Medallion Clues once again, these will begin Monday August 3rd at 8:00 am so keep a look out! Rockford Clean Up Day

City of Rockford Clean Up Day & Food Drive is May 2nd, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Public Works Site / North along main street.
Household Appliances will be accepted for $11.00 each. Gas operated refrigerators will NOT be accepted.
Household Garbage will be accepted. $15 car, $25 truck and $35 oversize
Furniture Items – Electronics – Tires – Scrap Metal and Florescent Lights will also be accepted.
For the Rockford Food Drive the city would like to ask residents to bring a non-perishable food items to be donated to the Hanover food shelf that serves families living in Rockford as well as 5 other surrounding communities.
