Recycling Cans & Clothes

Recycling In Rockford

Most of you are aware already simply from driving by but if you live in the Autumn Oaks addition or the South side of Hwy 55 you may not have seen this as you’re on the other side of town.  In the city parking lot just off main street near the Riverside Park and Library there is a can recycling bin plus a red bin for clothing & shoe donations.

Another way to recycle is to utilize the curb side pick-up which is the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month.  You may also contact Wright Recycling at 763-972-2031.

The Cheapest & The Most Expensive

So, many people ask what is the price range in Rockford.  While the average price range is in the mid $200,000 range I thought it may be neat to see what has been the lowest sale price and the highest.  I looked back to 01/01/2004 through today to get this information and searched both Rockford single family homes as well as Rockford Township single family homes that sold.

Since 2004 in Rockford the least expensive home sold for $70,000 and it was a 3bd, 1 bth “fixer upper”.

Since 2004 in Rockford township the least expensive home to sell was also $70,000 for a “fixer upper” on 3 acres.

Since 2004 in the City of Rockford the most expensive home sold was $715,716 (sold by The Derrick Monroe Group) for a new construction Rambler with over 4,000 finished square feet.

Since 2004 in Rockford township the most expensive home sold was $656,000 (sold by The Derrick Monroe Group) for a new construction 2-story home with over 4,500 finished square feet on 3.1 acres.

There is a home on the market right now in the township at $999,000.  This is a property that is bank owned, not 100% done so it would require finishing touches and landscaping.

Santa Is Still Hanging Around Rockford

Santa Is In Rockford

I was driving to the hardware store this weekend with my daughter when she said “hey Dad look, Santa is hanging off that building”.  Good thing she is older:-)  It was pretty funny so I thought I would snap a picture, keep the little ones eyes closed at the Bridge Street intersection.

Do you have a funny photos to share?  If so send them to me at Derrick(at)DerrickMonroe(dot)com and we will post them for you!
